{"id":33555,"date":"2023-10-08T08:15:41","date_gmt":"2023-10-08T02:45:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omshantimedia.org\/?p=33555"},"modified":"2023-10-08T08:15:41","modified_gmt":"2023-10-08T02:45:41","slug":"overseas-news-oklahomausa-international-day-of-peace-event-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omshantimedia.org\/?p=33555","title":{"rendered":"Overseas News: Oklahoma,USA-International Day of Peace Event 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Sister Bindu, Center&nbsp;Coordinator, Oklahoma City (OKC), tying rakhi to the Oklahoma City Mayor, David Holt, at his office and invited him for the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Oklahoma,USA:<\/mark><\/strong> We are herewith enclosing our service report for the &#8220;<strong>International Day of Peace Commemoration<\/strong>&#8221; with the &#8220;<strong>World Religion Expo<\/strong>&#8220;, this year on September 24th, 2023, in&nbsp;<strong>Oklahoma City, USA.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This event was organized by The Brahma Kumaris Oklahoma<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>The Oklahoma City University, and The Respect Diversity Foundation.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme for the year was&nbsp;<strong>Peace Initiatives: Individual, Community, Global.&nbsp;<\/strong>Oklahoma City was honored to welcome Brother Erik Larson from New York to speak at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event had the following speakers: the Mayor of Oklahoma City, who gave his speech and proclamation; the United Nations Association; the Respect Diversity Foundation; and the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization. There were peace activities&nbsp;for kids, peace songs, and peace dances. We also had tables and booths by other&nbsp;non-profits to display their work for peace. Sister Bindu, Center In-Charge, Oklahoma,USA, concluded the event with a meditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parallely ran the&nbsp;<strong>World Religion Expo<\/strong>, in which religious organizations had
