Antigua:<\/mark><\/strong> Brahma Kumari Sister Payal, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in\u00a0Antigua\u00a0and Barbuda was invited\u00a0by the\u00a0American\u00a0University\u00a0of Medicine in\u00a0Antigua\u00a0and Barbuda to a\u00a0Diwali\u00a0Programme entitled \u2018The festival of Light\u2019 held on Saturday November 2nd at the\u00a0University. This was an in-person event\u00a0where over 100\u00a0medical\u00a0students and professors from the\u00a0University\u00a0had gathered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sister Payal in addressing the gathering spoke about lighting the lamp of the soul to eradicate the darkness of the vices and body consciousness. Her speech was very much appreciated and touched the hearts of those gathered. Several attendees have shown interest in meditation after listening to Sr Payal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it is rooted in Indian culture and traditions, the\u00a0Diwali\u00a0celebration\u00a0outside India is equally vibrant and colourful. Indian communities worldwide bring their customs to life, lighting up their homes and places of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0celebration\u00a0brought people of all backgrounds together to enjoy the spirit of unity, love, and prosperity.\u00a0The event was a\u00a0celebration\u00a0of music, dance, special messages and enlightening conversations and a mesmerizing performance by students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
