Vladivostok,Russia: <\/mark>I) Children’s Art Competition:\u00a0<\/strong>An exclusive programme was organised under the auspices of the Embassy of India, Russian Federation and\u00a0Ministry of Culture of the\u00a0Primorsky Region of Russia.\u00a0The programme was held at the Consulate General of India, Vladivostok.\u00a0\u00a0Russian\u00a0children’s art competition –“Legends and Myths of Ancient India from The Ramayana Epic.”\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Siddarth Gaurav,\u00a0Consul General of India to the eastern\u00a0Region of Russia\u00a0<\/strong>highly appreciated and congratulated the\u00a0young winners of the Indian lovers.\u00a0Primorsky\u00a0State Art Gallery,\u00a0Vladivostok<\/strong>\u00a0hosted the awards ceremony\u00a0for the\u00a0winners\u00a0<\/em>of the Art Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BK Alla Sadovnika, Vladivostok Centre Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong>greeted the children and parents. She spoke on the\u00a0spiritual significance of the\u00a0Ramayana epic,\u00a0<\/strong>emphasizing the relevance of the\u00a0ancient legend in the modern world:\u00a0“<\/strong>The heroine\u00a0Sita<\/strong>\u00a0symbolizes the soul trapped by defects and weaknesses, while\u00a0Rama<\/strong>\u00a0represents a benevolent power that can free the soul from the sorrows and sufferings. If we pay attention to the positive qualities in ourselves and others, this will help man become better and contribute to the transformation of the world.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many dignitaries\u00a0of the Region were present on the occasion and appreciated that the project ‘Children’s Art Competition’<\/strong>\u00a0has become a cultural bridge between our countries – Russia and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

II)<\/strong> “Connecting Times and Countries”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Musical and Poetic Salon\u00a0“Lira”,\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>directed by\u00a0BK Olga Smirnova,<\/strong>\u00a0Moscow<\/strong>\u00a0presented a heart touching programme\u00a0“Connecting Times and Countries”.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of India in Vladivostok,\u00a0Mr. Siddarth Gaurav<\/strong>\u00a0along with his colleagues and other employees of the Consulate General.\u00a0He expressed sincere thanks to the\u00a0Author<\/strong>\u00a0BK Olga Smirnova\u00a0<\/strong>for hosting\u00a0program on the fundamental kinship of the cultures of\u00a0our countries India – Russia,<\/strong>\u00a0and presented her with flowers and gifts. Also\u00a0presented with the\u00a0Certificate of Appreciation<\/strong>\u00a0on behalf of the\u00a0Consulate General (CG) of the Republic of India in Vladivostok.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
