Moscow,Russia: Dream Island Amusement Park in Moscow has been the venue for the 10th India Day Celebrations initiated by an Indian Public Association ‘SITA’ with the support of the Department of External Economic and International Relations and the Department of Culture, Government of Moscow with the partnership of Social Organisations and individuals. Brahma Kumaris have been an active partner of the event for 10 years and presenting a variety of programmes to fulfil the idea of Celebrating India Day.
Aim of the festival:
India Day Celebrations are organised every year as a complimentary to the Independence Day of India. The event also gives an opportunity to the visitors to have a vision of the Ancient to modern history, about the traditions of India and to further add to the already existing solidarity through generations between the friendly nations – Russia and India. The celebrations continue for 4 days and the presence of a number of Brahma Kumaris family including Didis added to the sanctity and uniqueness.

Beginning of the function:
“10th India Celebrations in Moscow”
Inaugural function began with a friendly meeting of organisers with the invited guests of honour, followed by sapling of Cherry-tree (Vishnya) by them and then sharing good wishes on the unique occasion by Mr. Manoj Kotwani, President, Public Association “SITA”, H.E. Vinay Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, Mr. Boris Pishik, General Director, Dream Island Amusement Park, Mr. Nikolai Tsiganov, Vice-Governor, Leningrad Region and Didi Sudha Rani Gupta, Director, Brahma Kumaris Centre of Spiritual Centre, Moscow (on Photo L to R).
