Vladivostok: Regard, trust and love between the two great nations

Two interesting programmes to express regard, trust and love between the two great nations: 

Vladivostok,Russia: I) Children’s Art Competition: An exclusive programme was organised under the auspices of the Embassy of India, Russian Federation and Ministry of Culture of the Primorsky Region of Russia. The programme was held at the Consulate General of India, Vladivostok.  Russian children’s art competition –“Legends and Myths of Ancient India from The Ramayana Epic.” 

Mr. Siddarth Gaurav, Consul General of India to the eastern Region of Russia highly appreciated and congratulated the young winners of the Indian lovers. Primorsky State Art Gallery, Vladivostok hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the Art Competition.

BK Alla Sadovnika, Vladivostok Centre Coordinator greeted the children and parents. She spoke on the spiritual significance of the Ramayana epic, emphasizing the relevance of the ancient legend in the modern world: “The heroine Sita symbolizes the soul trapped by defects and weaknesses, while Rama represents a benevolent power that can free the soul from the sorrows and sufferings. If we pay attention to the positive qualities in ourselves and others, this will help man become better and contribute to the transformation of the world.” 

Many dignitaries of the Region were present on the occasion and appreciated that the project ‘Children’s Art Competition’ has become a cultural bridge between our countries – Russia and India.

II) “Connecting Times and Countries”

The Musical and Poetic Salon “Lira”,  directed by BK Olga Smirnova, Moscow presented a heart touching programme “Connecting Times and Countries”. 

The program was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of India in Vladivostok, Mr. Siddarth Gaurav along with his colleagues and other employees of the Consulate General. He expressed sincere thanks to the Author BK Olga Smirnova for hosting program on the fundamental kinship of the cultures of our countries India – Russia, and presented her with flowers and gifts. Also presented with the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the Consulate General (CG) of the Republic of India in Vladivostok.
