Guwahati: Launching of Aatmanirbhar Kishan Campain

Guwahati, Assam: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Agriculture & Rural Development Wing of Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF), a sister concern of Brahma Kumaris organised the Campaign titled – “Atmanirbhar Kishan” at Krishi Vikash Kendra (KVK), Azara, under Guwahati Sub-zone Center, Assam with the support of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India on September 10, 2022.   

More than 20 Agricultural Scientists of KVK and 14 local farmers who made yeomans contribution to agricultural sector were felicitated in the program and more than 150 local farmers were given messages on Sashwat Yogic Kheti. Chief Guests present in the program were Dr. Dhiren Chandra Kalita, Chief Scientist (KVK) and Dr. Bhubaneswar Saikia, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, Agricultural University, Assam expressed their views on the need of the campaign. Dr. Kalita expressed his gratitude towards the campaign and also committed to allocate a plot of land under the KVK Campus for experimentation of Yogic Kheti.

BK Sobha Bhen and BK Bhagwan Bhai from Rural Development Wing, RERF, Mount Abu also shared their knowledge and experience in Yogic Kheti which inspired all the farmers as well as scientists present. Both of them deliberated upon how the application of Rajyoga Meditation in the agricultural practices, known as “Shaswat Yogic Kheti “, can impact the life of farmers and help in Nation’s growth. 

Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sheela Didi blessed the gathering with her jewels of spiritual knowledge and encouraged one and all to resort to Shaswat Yogic Kheti, an effective way of organic farming.

The campaign was started with a cultural programme, welcome address and guests were offered Badges, traditional Assamese Gamochha, Flowers and Tilak. Guests were also seen lighting the auspicious candles for success of the campaign.
