Kolkata Museum : Women Day Programme Organised

Kolkata ,WB: Brahma kumaris (kolkata museum) organised a programme on 10th March, 2024 on the occasion of International Women’s day on the theme “Inspiring Self and Family”  at Indian Museum, Kolkata.

The programme was attended by Smt. Neelam Meena, IAS,  Principal Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, Smt. Smita Pandey, IAS, Secretary, Public Enterprises & Industry Reconstruction Dept.,  Govt. of West Bengal, Smt. Chaitali Chakrabarti, IAS,

Special Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare Dept., Govt. of West Bengal, Smt. Santi Das Basak, Additional SP, West Bengal Human Rights Commission, Smt. Richa Agarwal, Chairperson, Kolkata Centre for Creativity, Smt. Soma Chakraborty, Vice President – Group Head, Corporate Communications, Medica Super Speciality Hospital, Kolkata, Shri Virendra, Former DGP of West Bengal,  Dr Sayan Bhattacharya, Education Officer ,Indian Museum, kolkata, Rajyogini BK Kanan didi, In-Charge, Brahma Kumaris Eastern Zone H.O and BK Supriya, Executive Member, Education Wing, Brahma Kumaris, Mount Abu.

BK Kanan,incharge Brahma kumaris Eastern Zone H.Q. said that our thoughts generate energy, positive thinking creates positive energy and negative thinking creates negative energy. This energy radiates into the atmosphere in the form of vibrations. When we think positively about others, then it creates good feelings and brings happiness in the family.

Smt. Neelam Meena, said we have a bit of thinking about the past which brings sorrow. She emphasised on the importance of living in the present and focusing on positive aspects of life to inspire self and others.
Smt. Smita Pandey shared her journey with Brahma Kumaris and how it helped her to realise that we are the creators of our thoughts, emotions and destiny. She said that spirituality is not something which has to be embraced when something goes wrong in life but it teaches a positive mindset and it should be the integral part of our Education system.

Dr. Sayan Bhattacharya emphasized on the fact that the active collaboration of Indian Museum with Brahma kumaris reflect the vision of cultural heritage.

The main highlights of the programme was panel discussion where the guests interacted on the importance of spirituality and meditation.Rajyogini BK Kanan Didi said that today we have nuclear families but less trust and understanding. To create love and happiness we need to love self and create quality time for others.

Focusing on this fact Smt. Chaitali Chakraborty said that Brahma kumaris is an extended family for her. After practicing Rajyoga Meditation she felt inner peace and calmness inside her and she now doesn’t react to situations. 
Shri Virendra ji said that mediation helps us to incorporate values in our life.It gives us the understanding that we are souls and are more powerful than situations. 
Smt. Richa Agarwal said we can maintain a proper work life balance with discipline,interdependence and trust on people.Smt. Santi Das Basak ji thanked her father for instilling values of courage and fearlessness.Smt. Soma Chakraborty said that when we approach life with positivity and values, then it brings us success. Being in the medical industry, she stressed on the importance of earning good wishes from people which can help us feel content and happy. The programme ended with the blessing of Bk Sister Kanan.
