Kolkata: BK Shivani on a two Day visit to Kolkata

BK Shivani Behn visited City of Joy, Kolkata for 2 days and the following service programs were organised.

To Mark the 80th Anniversary of Sangit Kala Mandir, a programme was organised at Kala Mandir on 15th February, 2025 on the theme “Karma is My Protection”.

Kolkata, West Bengal: Bk Shivani emphasized that our present and future experiences are shaped by our past and current actions. Every thought, word, and action creates energy, which eventually returns to us. If we create pure, positive karma, we naturally attract protection and peace in our lives.

Instead of blaming others for our problems, we need to take charge of our karma. If we face challenges, it is an opportunity to settle past karmic accounts with acceptance and wisdom. She also said that by maintaining pure intentions and radiating positive energy, we create an aura of protection around us. Meditation, self-awareness, and good actions strengthen this protective shield.  She asked the audience to not hold onto resentment as it creates negative karma. By forgiving others, we free ourselves from past burdens and ensure that we don’t carry forward negative energies.

BK Kanan Didi, Incharge, Eastern Zone , H.O., Kolkata asked everyone to perform elevated actions to earn blessings in life and these blessings make our life happy and peaceful.

Also present on the occasion was Shri Devendra Mantri, President, Sangit kala Mandir. About 1000 guests attended the programme.

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, Brahma Kumaris Kolkata Museum organised an event titled “Mindset Matters- Transform Challenges into Opportunities” led by renowned speaker BK Shivani Behn at Dhono Dhanya Auditorium.

Shivani Behn emphasized that having a positive outlook in all situations enhances inner strength. Perfection should exist both externally and internally, which is only possible when we shift from tension (stress) to attention (focus). Everyone should start their morning with meditation, just as a mobile phone needs to be charged—meditation recharges both our soul and body, making us feel refreshed and energized.

She further said that it is important to prioritize our well-being based on thoughts, sanskars (deep-rooted habits), and actions, as these are crucial for happiness. To stay happy, never say, “I don’t have time” or “I am too busy.” Such thoughts reduce happiness. Instead of prioritizing work, family, and self, one should focus on self, family, and work in that order. This shift in priority enhances efficiency and productivity, allowing one to perform tasks in a better way.

Just as one strives to earn money, one must also earn happiness, which ultimately leads to better health. For genuine peace and happiness, one must cultivate positive thoughts throughout the day. Happiness is not about giving joy to others—it is about being joyful oneself.

She explained that we are not just bodies, but souls. When we strengthen our soul, life becomes truly successful. Today, people don’t have time to take care of themselves physically, but it is essential to practice meditation to maintain mental well-being.

The program attracted a diverse audience of approximately 2,000 individuals, including 500 VIP guests and 1,500 members of the general public.
