Guwahati, Assam: A public function was organised under the ongoing project Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) at Guwahati based Rupnagar Center of Brahma Kumaris on Saturday, the 27th of May 2023.
As special guest, Dr. Arundhuti Deka, Deputy Director of Health Service, Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki, Ex-Director Dr. B. Barooah Cancer Institute, Mr. Raman Khadwal, Inspector General of Police deliberated upon the grim situation of society where every form of addiction is on the rise.
Dr. Sachin Parab, Rajyoga Meditation Teacher and Joint Secretary, Medical Wing Brahma Kumaris showed the way of coming out of the present situation and suggested many methods including Rajyoga Meditation to overcome addiction. He said that school going students should be imparted knowledge and awareness regularly on this menace of the society so that they do not fall prey to the pressure of peer groups. He urged that parents play an active role in safeguarding their wards by spending quality time with them.
Rajyogini BK Sheela Didi , Incharge, Assam and North Eastern States blessed the gathering with her motivating speech. She exhorted that practice of Rajyoga Meditation empowers everyone to overcome all types of negative thinking and stops one from moving towards drugs abuse. Rajyogini BK Jonali Didi, Incharge of Nalbari, Baska and Barpeta District Centers of Brahma Kumaris introduced the ongoing campaign of Nasha Mukt Bharat to the gathering.
People from every walk of life participated in the program and expressed concern over the growing cases of addiction among youths in the society. They expressed satisfaction that the Brahma Kumaris had taken this yeoman service of freeing Society from the evils of drugs addiction. Rajyogi BK Muninddra Bhai shared his experience of practicing Rajyoga, BK Surabhi presented dance and BK Atul sang an inspiring song in the program.
