Ukraine: Rakhi Celebrations at Sangam Retreat Center, Vinnytsia Region, Ukraine
The Holy Swans gathered at the Sangam Retreat Center to celebrate Rakshabandhan. Participants of the annual Rakhi retreat arrived from the beautiful cities of Bila Tserkva, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Sevastopil, and Kharkiv.
On the opening of the retreat, brothers and sisters gathered around the bonfire to meditate, sing songs, partake in Brahma Bhojan, and, most importantly, completely burn away their weaknesses and flaws in the fire. After the morning Murli class, most of the day was dedicated to personal inner work in preparation for the Rakhi festival.

By evening everyone gathered in the gazebo for an online meeting with respected Didi Sudha. Didi extended her loving congratulations to the retreat participants, shared her reflections on the significance of the festival of purity, and encouraged the brothers and sisters to pay special attention to maintaining silence while eating.
Shortly after the meeting with Didi, the main event of the retreat began – the solemn Rakhi tying ceremony. As they received the thread of purity, each Brahmin created a determined thought of bringing novelty into their spiritual life.
All of us shining alokik family members spent the final day of the retreat striving to maintain silence, meditating individually in various corners of the retreat center, practicing self-checking and at the same time drawing attention to fulfill Baba’s direction – to spread the Light and Might all over the world to quench thirst for peace of the souls. In the evening too we gathered again to continue the subtle service to the souls of the world and the elements of nature.
Fulfilled and content, the sisters and brothers left Sangam with a feeling of heartfelt gratitude to BapDada, the seniors, and the Brahmin family. Madhuban always remained in our hearts that helped us to maintain sweet silence throughout the Retreat at Sangam. It was not just the Retreat but the real Sangam of BapDada and Children.
Points from Didi Sudha’s on-line address to the retreat participants:
A place of support and protection
Congratulating the rakhi retreat participants on the festival of purity, Didi said that the Sangam Retreat Center had transformed from a ruined place into a flourishing oasis, filled with both physical and spiritual oxygen. Didi said that in the future, this place would become a place of support and protection for many souls – both Brahmins and those souls who have not yet come to know Baba.
Yukti for easy efforts
Didi said that Baba inspires us to elevated efforts every day and gives us yukti so that our efforts don’t become burdensome. An easy method for effort is to maintain constant awareness of who is teaching me and why I am learning. I am a student of God, and I am learning to become a deity.
Revelation
In Avyakt Murli, Baba often says that the Brahma Kumaris are already known in many places, but Baba still remains hidden. Neither the Father of Humanity, Brahma Baba, nor the Father of Souls, Shiv Baba, have yet been revealed. Didi said that Baba’s revelation will occur when people in various corners of the world see the children of God as light. At that time, they will come to believe that the path to God can be found only through these Brahmins. Didi cited an example from the life of Brother Jagdish and said that at the very beginning of service, success was achieved not by words, but by the state of the sisters. And at the core of this state was full attention to Baba’s Shrimat.
Pure food
Continuing with the theme of Shrimat, Didi particularly emphasized the importance of preparing and eating food in silence and remembrance of Baba. This purity is essential for our elevated state, which will allow us to become a source of light and might for many souls. To achieve this, Didi suggested focusing on preparing and eating food in silence and remembrance for a certain period of time (a week, 15 days, or a month). Then observe the impact this has on one’s overall state, one’s state of mind, one’s state of yoga, and one’s state of body.
