Bengaluru: Makar Sankranti Celebrations at Brahma Kumaris, Basavangudi

Bengaluru,Karnataka: Brahma kumaris, Basavanagudi celebrated Sankranti, the first harvest festival by expressing gratitude to our environment.

As we live in this physical world of five elements and also residing in the body of five elements, we must pay gratitude to every element. When we do this, the environment also extends its cooperation in our lives now and also in the golden age. Now we are doing intense tapasya to purify not only ourselves but also our environment to bring a new world filled with purity, peace and prosperity. With this theme, we did special meditation spreading vibrations to the environment.

Program continued with sisters bringing plates of fruits, sesame seeds and jaggery, kites.  

1)      Fruits plates of first harvest included 5 bananas (kela) giving message – ‘Akele aaye the, akele jana hai, akele rehkar, akele baap ko yaad kar, akele ghar jaana hai ’ to reach brahma baba’s stage in this special month.

2)      Sesame seeds and jaggery gives the message to maintain good relationships which brings unity in society.

3)      Kites give a message to be light and fly leaving all bondages.

The program included candle lighting followed by theme based cultural programs performed by children, mothers and audience. More than 350 attended and benefited.
