BK Asha didi ji chairperson of Administrative wing gave her valuable message On renewing The Mindsets for better governance. In her speech, Asha Didi emphasizes the importance of renewing mindsets for better governance and personal development. She begins by noting the diversity of the audience and highlights the universal relevance of the topic. The speech addresses the need for transformation at the individual level rather than just adhering to rules and regulations. Asha Didi recounts an experience with Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, who was impressed by value-based statements and implemented these values in governance. She underscores the importance of spirituality, meditation, and values in dealing with life’s challenges, suggesting that inner strength and self-governance are crucial for effective leadership. She recalls an instance where the Speaker of Parliament managed to control himself, which in turn helped him manage others.
The speech advocates for introspection and self-discipline. Asha Didi suggests using techniques like traffic control of thoughts to maintain a positive and constructive mindset throughout the day. By pausing to reflect on one’s thoughts, individuals can harness their intuition, leading to better decision-making. She asserts that everyone can develop their intuition and should allow themselves to do so. Asha Didi shares her personal experience of taking charge of the Om Shanti Retreat Centre, initially struggling with the people she worked with until she viewed them as family. This shift in perspective helped her lead with love and acceptance. She emphasizes the importance of knowing and loving the people one wants to transform, referencing Mother Teresa’s philosophy.
Asha Didi highlights the necessity of balancing love and law, humility and authority, to be an effective leader. She provides an example of a senior officer who balanced suspending an employee with supporting the employee’s family. Asha Didi stresses the importance of detachment in decision-making. By stepping back and viewing situations objectively, one can make better decisions. She compares this to an exercise from childhood where stepping outside the given points allowed one to complete the task effectively. The speech also touches on the concept of being Karmayogis—performing one’s duties while maintaining a spiritual mindset.
Finally, Asha Didi concludes by reiterating that meditation is a key tool for disciplining the mind, intellect, and actions. It fosters better relationships and enhances human connections, which in turn leads to better governance. She ends her speech by thanking the audience for their presence and attention.
BK.Savita and BK Shanta Regional Incharge of Warangal Subzone welcomed the audience and felicitated all the Guests. BK. Padmaja Ben coordinated the program.
