BK Overseas News: Brahma Baba and MLK event at Oklahoma City, USA

Oklahoma City, USA: The Oklahoma City Center, USA celebrated the legacies of Brahma Baba and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Baba’s center in January. Our program included distinguished speakers, including political leaders, video presentation, reflections and sharings, candle lighting, and meditation, followed by refreshments. While the other speakers spoke on how Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy influenced them personally and how it has inspired their beliefs and actions, Sister Bindu (Center Coordinator – Oklahoma City center) spoke about the legacy of Brahma Baba and how it has been an inspiration and led the guided meditation. Br. Venkatesh introduced the BKWSO to everyone. The event went very well.

We were happy to have the presence of these souls in Baba’s home. It was a pleasure to see how the speakers researched about Brahma Baba before coming and mentioned it in their speeches.

The speaker calls for a growth mindset, selflessness, and a commitment to community-building to address these issues. He underscored the importance of mental health, personal accountability, and the power of storytelling to connect and inspire. He encouraged action, perseverance, and belief in one’s potential to create meaningful change.

Quoting Dr. King, she reminds us that greatness lies in service, which requires a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love. She concluded with a hopeful call to action, encouraging collective efforts to transform the world with peace and light as our guide.
