St. Petersburg,Russia : As per the deep secret of time, this year two great festivals followed each other back to back: India’s Independence Day on 15 August, and Krishna Janamashtmi on 16th. Yes, indeed, achievement of real independence gives life to a new heavenly world order with peace and happiness prevailing everywhere.
As we discover the hidden spiritual and historical significance of these festivals (and Raksha Bandhan celebrated in August is also added to them), we come to realise that they are relevant and meaningful not just for residents of Bharat but for people across the world. The proof of that is a grand festivious event held on 16 August at the Brahma Kumaris Centre in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Among the guests taking part in the celebration were representatives of BRICS organization, renowned educationists, actors, public servants, as well as members of the numerous Indian communities in this city.
Addressing the audience, Mr Nirmesh Kumar ji, Consul of India in St. Petersburg, said, “It’s commendable indeed that all those gathered here have lots of love for Bharat and its culture. In fact, you have lots of love for the entire humanity.”
Santosh Didi greeted the gathering on the occasion of a triple festival. She highlighted the fact that the story of Bharat was actually related to the story of the whole world, its past, present and future. Didi said, “It is remembered that the ancient Bharat was home to the original creation of the Supreme Father, completely pure and virtuous deities, whose innate religion, or dharma, was that of purity, peace and love. Now the Supreme Father reminds us once again that by re-emerging that true religion of the self and using the currency of purity, peace and love in every action, we will contribute in re-establishing the golden age of humanity.”
As the program began, everyone got transported for some moments to Delhi’s Red Fort to enjoy the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by PM Narendra Modi ji.
The program in Lighthouse was designed so as to give the audience the taste of what the unique achievements of Bharat had been before its colonization, how the country had lost its freedom and how, even after centuries of hardships, contemporary India is inspiring the whole world with its rapid progress in various fields.

The colourful scenes of the original divine Bharat and the story of how the Supreme Father is now once again putting the gift of the golden world on the palm of His children, captivated the audience.
The atmosphere of the festival was experienced not just in the Auditorium but throughout the Lighthouse. Every corner of Baba’s centre was magically transformed into a space of happiness and inspiration.
The guests were blessed with the darshan of Bharat Mata. They were invoked to become world mothers, that is selfless sustainers of all souls of the world. They were also given the realisation that in order to become the residents of that original new world, the land of light, we have to fill ourselves with all the divine virtues. The path may seem to be a long one but it all starts with just any one virtue. And for imbibing that particular virtue, everyone received a special chart for self-promise and regular self-checking.
The Museum area of the Lighthouse introduced everyone to the dawn of the golden age and the birth of divine child Shri Krishna. It was such a blissful experience to be able to rock little Krishna on a swing, to stay in the company of other deities and then to enjoy sweets and heavenly apples! And on entering the Conference hall, in the flicker of a second everyone got absorbed in the pure silent vibrations of the sacred Rakhi tying ceremony.
The event came to a close but the pure thread of protection is still there, on our wrist and in our heart. Which means the festival is never going to finish!
