1. A musical program “We Wish You Happiness”

Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center in Irkutskgathered their friends for a picnic outside of the city where guests return to themselves and find their inner balance through silence, meditation, and communication. We create an atmosphere where participants can slow down, feel the depth of spirituality, and be filled with peace. During the program, we wrote letters to our empty thoughts and resentments and burned them in a bonfire, and we danced the dance of sankars harmonization.

On another occasion we hosted a warm musical program dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland. The concert was performed by the trio “TriNiti.” The music and sincere performances created an atmosphere of joy, warmth, and unity in the audience.

During the meeting, guests reflected on how our character traits influence our lives and help us to maintain happiness in various circumstances. The guests were able to pay attention to their virtues and see how they help to find solutions in different life situations.

Every guest got a small gift. The program ended with a cup of hot tea, treats and a warm conversation. The atmosphere was friendly and inspiring, the participants left the program with a sense of joy and good wishes for each other.

1. One-day Retreat: “Pause for Silence. Meditation Experience”

Mayak Mira Retreat Centre, Moscow

‘Pause for Silence Retreat’ was a unique 8 hours event. Wonder was that an atmosphere of pin drop silence was created in the building well before the programme had begun.

17 committed members from various professions joined the one-day retreat to be in silence, to hear their inner voice, to meet their eternal self, to feel harmony, love, peace and to take a break from worldly worries.

During the retreat, the attendees did various tasks to understand their inner world better, learned meditation, wrote a letter to God, walked, breathed, ate in silence… BK Larisa Nikulina and BK Elena Totova nicely conducted two guided meditation half an hour each.

In addition they had an opportunity to meet with our senior teacher of Raja Yoga, Sudha Didi and the meeting brought more understanding of what meditation is and how to use it in everyday life.

Feelings echoed from everyone’s heart, “we took a pause of silence in our lives and lived this day without phones and other gadgets”!

Pause of silence programme helped the beneficiaries to move forward with renewed strength! Their sharings were uniquely filled with gratitude. One of such feelings in written as below:

Greetings to all! Today, my dream came true — to take a break from the daily hustle, work, the noise of the roads, advertising banners that seem to stare at you at every turn, to get away from my phone, and so on. I had a wonderful time in the company of wonderful people. We did have a bit of a chat as well. There was also some completely new information for me. I eagerly absorbed the information about Raja Yoga and intend to continue studying it and learning the skill of meditation. This school of spiritual development is just perfect for me. For anyone who is interested and feels connected to this topic, I highly recommend visiting this school — you definitely won’t regret it, 100%. I was very pleased, and after the session, I went about my business feeling light. I slept wonderfully at night and woke up easily, whereas usually, I have a very hard time getting up. I wish everyone goodness, lightness, and strong health! Hug!

Yours,

Fyodor

Turn storm into a gift: online meeting with Didi Sudha

Didi Sudha, Senior teacher of Raja Yoga and Director of Brahma Kumaris centers in Russia, the former CIS, Mongolia and the Baltic countries, met with the Brahmin family of the region. This event became both a lesson in Godly Knowledge and a warm family meeting.

Baba often says that the storms that happen on the spiritual path can be a gift for our development. It was this point that became the basis for Didi Sudha’s class. Didi touched on several aspects of this point in her speech:

  1. When and how do storms turn into a gift?
  2. A storm in the form of an external situation can become a gift. But if an external storm is followed by a storm in the mind, then this is defeat.
  3. How to recognize what spiritual power should be used in a specific situation?
  4. It is very important to practice a state of peace: “I am a peaceful soul.”
  5. To bring happiness to oneself and others, one needs to become the master of oneself. First of all, one needs to control their mind and intellect, and then sanskaras will follow.

The conversation with Didi took place in an interactive format. The participants of the meeting shared their thoughts and gave practical examples from their lives. A limited number of 100 Brahmins were present in the virtual gathering through Zoom conference, Kiev, However, many BKs from the Region took benefit through other means provided for BKStudents.

We are all grateful to Didi for sharing such precious jewels of Baba’s knowledge.
