Brahma Kumaris Participate in The “1st International Conference on Peace, Harmony and Interfaith” for Asia Pacific Organized by Young Naturalist Network (UN-accredited)
Mumbai -Ghatkopar, Maharashtra: Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of The United Nations (UN), The Young Naturalist Networks (YNN) who closely works with the UN on varied projects, organized the “1st International Conference on Peace, Harmony and Interfaith” (Vishva Mangal Maitri Sammelan) for Asia Pacific Region on 28th April 2022, at The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Auditorium, Mumbai. The YNN supports the UN’s Sustainable Decade Objectives on Biodiversity, Energy Conservation, Ecosystem Restoration, Coping with Climatic Changes, along with Social Causes for Human Development and Empowerment.
This conference was organized in association with The United Buddhist Mission with the purpose to maintain peace and harmony amongst the various faiths and beliefs that are followed. Representatives from different faiths – Priests, Buddhist Monks, Islamic Qazi, Christian Father, Parsi Dustoor ji’s, Sikh Granthi, along with representatives from other faiths like Brahma Kumaris, ISKCON, Kriya Yog Foundation, etc.. came together on one platform and pledged for Interfaith Peace and Harmony, and for protecting the Planet’s resources and help in the resurrection of damages due to climate change.
Senior Rajyoga Teacher BK Pramila (Senior Scientist from BARC- Retired) from Brahmakumaris, Mumbai, Ghatkopar Subzone represented our Organization at the forum and gave practical tips to be practiced during times of panic and disaster. The gathering also experienced the Power of Meditation on the occasion.
Mr.Ramdas Athawale – President, Republican Party of India & Central Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Govt. of India) was the Chief Guest at the event that was attended by more than 100 dignitaries of different faiths.
