“Peace Walk and Empowering Talk” Programme

On 6th August 2023, the Youth Wing (R.E.R.F.) Delhi Zone & Brahma Kumaris Kingsway Camp Centre, Delhi organized a remarkable event that consisted of a Peace Walk and an Empowering Talk under the Y20 initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This event aimed to engage and inspire the youth on the theme of Health, Wellbeing and Sports.
Around 400 enthusiastic and energetic young participants (BK’s & Non BK’s) from all over Delhi, along with representatives from various other youth organizations like the Robin Hood Army and students from different colleges of Delhi University, IAS/UPSC Coaching Institutes etc., actively took part in the peace walk.
All the participants gathered at the centre at 3.30pm. They received a warm welcome with Chandan tilak and badges, setting a positive mood for the day. BK Sadhna Didi, the Centre In-charge of Brahma Kumaris Kingsway Camp, along with esteemed guests, including Dr. Rajnish Kumar, the President of the All-India Prohibition Council in New Delhi, BK Rohit Bhai, the Youth Wing Coordinator for Delhi Zone, and Sisters BK Falguni, BK Vidhatri from the Om Shanti Retreat Centre, shared their warm wishes and words of encouragement with the youth.
The walk commenced from the Brahma Kumaris Kingsway Camp Centre and followed a route through Mukherjee Nagar, garnering attention from curious onlookers along the way. The peace walk was truly a sight to behold, as the youth carried banners with messages promoting peace and positivity, impressing everyone with their dedication and enthusiasm despite the humid weather of Delhi. Passersby curiously observed the procession as it made its way through the Mukherjee Nagar area. The participants took a break at The Holy House centre in Mukherjee Nagar where they were offered refreshments to energize them for the walk.
The culminating point of the peace walk was the Auditorium at the Rajan Babu Institute of Pulmonary Medicine and Tuberculosis (RBIMPT) Hospital in GTB Nagar. The participants were showered with flower petals, setting a joyous and appreciative tone for the Empowering Talk session that followed.
The Empowering Talk featured esteemed guests who shared their valuable insights with the youth. BK Pushpa Didi, Director of Brahma Kumaris Karol Bagh, congratulated the young participants on successfully completing the peace walk and encouraged them to channelize their energy into more positive initiatives and set an example for the youth of the country,
Dr. Manasi Anand, Director of RBIMPT Hospital spoke on the topic “Role of Meditation in Prevention & Treatment of TB & other diseases ”. She shared practical tips on maintaining a healthy body through a balanced lifestyle and meditation, enlightening the youth on the significance of overall well-being.
Sh. Dilip Pandey, MLA from Timarpur, was also present on this momentous occasion and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the benevolent initiative taken by the Brahma Kumaris.
BK Falguni, from ORC conducted a beautiful meditation commentary where everyone deeply experienced inner peace & radiated the vibrations of peace all around.
BK Rohit delivered a gracious vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests and all the youth present for their enthusiastic participation.
BK Vidhatri, from ORC very well played the role of Master of Ceremony.
The event concluded with the distribution of Bhog (blessed food) amongst guests & all the participants, symbolizing the spirit of unity and harmony that prevailed throughout the day.
The Brahma Kumaris Peace Walk and Empowering Talk on 6th August 2023 was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the youth and inspiring them to continue their positive contributions to society. The event exemplified the organization’s commitment to promoting peace, well-being and positivity in the world.
