Kolkata, WB:  Launching of My Bengal Addiction Free Bengal Project under NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN was done by H.E. Smt Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India in august presence of H.E. Dr C.V. Ananda Bose, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Smt Dr Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister, Women & Child Dev and Social Welfare Govt of WB, Dr BK Banarsilal Sah, Secy. Brahma Kumaris Medical Wing Mt Abu, Nari Shakti Awardee BK Sister Shivani and Rajyogini BK Kanan, Incharge, Brahma Kumaris Eastern Zone Hqs. Kolkata on 17th Aug 2023 at RAJ BHAVAN Kolkata.


Smt. Droupadi Murmuji, Hon’ble President of India
 praised the efforts and the initiative of Brahma Kumaris for creating awareness among the people. She said that Spirituality makes a man self-realize the spiritual powers hidden within him and helps to develop positive mindset. She said that drug addiction is a burning issue in our society today.  Government is continuously running a number of programs to control drug addiction, but the task can achieve its purpose only when each member of society realise their responsibility. Brahma kumaris institution has established its reach to every section of our society.  Positive experience reduces the requirements of narcotics. When people experiences meditation then beneficial feelings arise and detrimental feeling reduced which creates disinterest in addictions.  Instead of all odds and difficulties, even one person can create a positive outlook and liberate himself from negative impacts of addiction.

Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal 
congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for this initiative and said that creating mass awareness about the ill effects of Drug addiction is highly appreciable. He said that Drug De-addiction is not the responsibility of any one organization, but needs the collective efforts of the entire community.

Smt. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister for Women & Child Development & Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal said that the government of West Bengal is committed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of different forms of dug abuse and promote healthy lifestyle that leads to vitality and well-being.

BK Shivani Behn of Brahma Kumaris emphasized on the power of thoughts and said that we are stronger than any addiction. One gets addicted to fill the void within and of one fill themselves with divine values, then they won’t have to give up addiction but it will go away by itself. She also said that through self-awarenes and integrating the transformative practice of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga meditation, we can be empowered to overcome addiction and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling future as it instills inner peace, and increased emotional stability.

Rajyogini BK Kanan, Center Incharge, Brahma Kumaris Eastern Zone Headquarters, Kolkata
 gave her blessings for the success of the campaign and invited everyone to learn Rajyoga, a technique to connect with supreme authority and experience powers. She said that transformation of one person will lead to transformation of whole family and will bring happiness, peace and harmony
