Oklahoma,USA: We are herewith enclosing our service report for the “International Day of Peace Commemoration” with the “World Religion Expo“, this year on September 24th, 2023, in Oklahoma City, USA.
This event was organized by The Brahma Kumaris Oklahoma, The Oklahoma City University, and The Respect Diversity Foundation.
The theme for the year was Peace Initiatives: Individual, Community, Global. Oklahoma City was honored to welcome Brother Erik Larson from New York to speak at the event.
The event had the following speakers: the Mayor of Oklahoma City, who gave his speech and proclamation; the United Nations Association; the Respect Diversity Foundation; and the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization. There were peace activities for kids, peace songs, and peace dances. We also had tables and booths by other non-profits to display their work for peace. Sister Bindu, Center In-Charge, Oklahoma,USA, concluded the event with a meditation.
Parallely ran the World Religion Expo, in which religious organizations had booths to talk about their perspectives and offerings.
