Bengaluru,Karnatak : National Girl Child Day was celebrated in Brahma Kumaris Retreat Centre Jakkur Bengaluru on 24th January 2024 with the caption “ Shakti Within” by Shiv Shakti Leadership Approach, India.
The event was jointly organised by Brahma Kumaris Jakkur and Women Entrepreneur for Transformation(WEFT), Karnataka, and Indus Business Academy (IBA) Bengaluru. Participants include girl students pursuing MBA course, Women faculty, and staff members of IBA and women achievers of Bengaluru city.
Mrs. Pramila Naidu, former chairperson, Karnataka State Commission for Women was the inaugural chief guest and other guests of honour include Rajayogini Dr B K Sudesh Didi, Advisor Shiv Shakti Leadership Approach, B K HeadQuarters Mt. Abu, Ms Bhanumathy Y R, Retired Deputy Director SRQA,URSC,ISRO Bengaluru,Rajayogini B K Leela Didi, Director Brahma Kumaris City Sub zone, Bengaluru, Rajayogini B K Rupa Didi, Global Hospital Mt. Abu, Rajayogini B K Radhika Didi, core team member and Ms Iti Rawat , Director, WEFT Bengaluru hosted the event.
Ms Iti Rawat highlighted the importance of Girl Child Day. Inspiring message from B K Sudesh Didi on the topic and the deep meaning of “ Shakti Within” was deliberated in detail. Just as the seed has potential to create and nourish the tree which gives shade to others, girls and mothers too have the potential(Shakti Within) to nurture the society and be benevolent to others. Shakti within is the shakti that brings transformation to a better world which can be achieved through the practice of meditation and inculcation of virtues.
Beautiful welcome dance to the song “Tu Hai Shakti “ was performed by Ms Savitha Reddy, CEO, Inlingua , a Bharata Natya dancer and Certified yoga instructor. The programme ended after sharing of experiences by participants and conferring awards to young women achievers.
