Mumbai-Borivali West Maharashtra:BK family was joined by an esteemed guest – an Oncologist, Palliative Medicine Physician, and Author of 3 books, one of which is a bestseller and a Senior Rajyogi – Doctor Roger Cole from Wollongong, Sydney, Australia. Doctor Roger was invited by Senior Sister, BK Bindu, on behalf of Borivali West center, to speak on the topic “Healing Power of Love”, attended by 215 BKs. Just as the topic revealed itself, Doctor Cole, revealed his own journey before and after coming into Brahmakumaris by sharing his earlier meditative experiences and visions which led to an organic adoption of the Gyan. On his experience with Dadi Janki, he shared about Dadi’s discipline and dedication to the Yagya, in 1992, when he first met Bapdada.
Dr Cole shared that for true unconditional love, you need to first clear all your unfinished business. To be empathetic towards others, you need to empty yourself of all the past shadows of sorrow and fill your heart with the virtues of love and kindness.
Doctor Cole’s bestseller book – “Mission of Love”, talks about love’s mission in fact, which is to take away all separation in the physical world and develop love and kindness for self, and care and compassion for others. He said that love manifests into tolerance power, patience, gentleness and sweetness. Whereas Anger and sorrow are illusions, they are not real, hence instead of reacting to others anger, we must stay true to ourselves – which is a beautiful eternal pure being of love. When we don’t have self-doubt, then we start to trust others.
Doctor Roger shared that even if we go through a low phase in our lives, it is to build resilience to stand up again. We must trust our yoga and trust that Baba is looking after us. At the end of the session, doctor Cole answered some of the questions from BK Shreya where he shared about the importance of here and now (nothing else matters) and gave us a sneak peek into Quantum physics thus making this session a melting pot of science and spirituality.
