Gangtok, Sikkim: On the occasion of Maha Shivratri and International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang, accompanied by Madam Krishna Rai and Master God Angel Guru Hajur, attended the 88th Trimurti Shiva Jayanti Mahotsav organized by Brahma Kumaris, Sikkim, at Shanti Kund, Development Area today.Expressing greetings for International Women’s Day, the Chief Minister commended Brahmakumaris for their social contribution towards a simple yet peaceful life, which Sikkim appreciates. He praised their efforts in spreading the message of inner peace and happiness and emphasized the importance of accepting the truths of life and death to avoid negative thoughts and vibes. He urged people to serve mankind, putting aside negative emotions like ego, greed, and jealousy, advocating for timely service rather than rushing through tasks.
Addressing the gathering,Brahma Kumari Sonam Didi said that Mahashivratri is a memorable festival of the divine incarnation of Shiva and his service of world transformation for the last 88 years for creating a new world.
The celebration was attended by MLA Mr Sonam Venchungpa, Chairpersons, Deputy Mayor Madam Tshering Palden, Councillors, former Speaker Madam Kalawati Subba, former Ministers and MLAs, dignitaries, guests, students and devotees.
