Visit of Madhuban vasis BK Dr. Shyam and BK Bibhuti to St. Petersburg, RussiaService News (6–15 September, 2025)
St. Petersburg, Russia : A warm autumn evening, Saturday, September, 6th, saw our dear respected double doctor Shyam, head of the physiotherapy department (Shantivan), accompanied by BK Bibhuti, electrical department, arriving in St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport. With their big baggage, they brought here the unique spiritual fragrance of Madhuban together with lots of love and remembrances from Munni Didi and other seniors. During their stay at Lighthouse, the beneficial Drama opened many opportunities for friendly meetings with the Brahmin family and guests, public events and outings, yoga bhattis and celebrations.
On September 10, the Brahma Kumaris took part in the Round Table “100 Years of People’s Diplomacy in Russia: Cooperation for Peace” organized by St. Petersburg Women’s Alliance. Held at the prestigious Grand Hotel, the event attracted speakers and guests from Russia, Austria, Indonesia, China, and France. Special guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Committee for Foreign Relations and the Committee for Migration Policy of St. Petersburg City Administration also took part in the opening session. A 5-minute video presentation introduced the Brahma Kumaris mission and social service in this city. Dr Shyam, as a guest speaker, talked on how by staying soul conscious and establishing the link with the Supreme, we could become messengers of peace and true diplomats who spread the atmosphere of trust, unity and love. In conclusion, he led a 2-minute meditation enabling all the delegates to enter the space of calm and tranquility.

On September 11, Lighthouse received about 150 participants of the public event “Holistic Well-Being Through a Healthy Lifestyle”. BK Bibhuti greeted the audience that gathered in the Diamond Hall of Lighthouse on behalf of all Madhuban wasis whom we generally meet in the Diamond Hall of Shantivan! Further, Dr Shyam conducted an hour and a half seminar explaining in detail the science of how our positive mental attitude of a giver and the stock of good karmas contribute to improving our general well-being and overcoming physical ailments. The event was attended by many medical practitioners as well as patients! Numerous friends of the Brahma Kumaris were also happy to join. Mr Roman Pastukhov, President of St. Petersburg Union of Entrepreneurs, also graced the event with his presence. He handed over the Letters of Acknowledgement to both Santosh Didi and Dr Shyam in recognition of their great contribution in their respective fields for raising the awareness about spiritual and healthy lifestyle. BK Meera from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) shared her experience of having completely overcome cancer through a pure and positive lifestyle that she had learnt at the Brahma Kumaris.
On Saturday, September, 13, a special yog-tapasya bhatti was held at the Lighthouse. After the morning murli class, all the white-clad angels led by Dr. Shyam enjoyed their morning silent walk in the Peace Park radiating the sakaash of light and might to the people and nature around. Then Dr Shyam took an interview with Santosh Didi, in which Didi shared a secret of creating Madhuban atmosphere and vibrations in those places where we serve. As Didi mentioned, even if we are physically far away from Madhuban but if we keep Madhuban in our eyes and our heart, if we continue feeding our sense organs with the images, sounds and even Brahma bhojan and tolis of Madhuban, and stick to the Madhuban daily routine, we are able to transform our service places into “rooms of Madhuban”. Interactive exercises on becoming “marjeeva” (dying alive) and the practice of silent meditation conducted by Dr Shyam gave everyone a powerful experience of volcanic yoga.
The next day, Sunday, saw a happy alokik birthday celebration of 30 brothers and sisters who had come to Baba in July, August or September, any year. Another 15 BKs who had taken their spiritual birthday in those months, joined the celebration online. Colourful cultural items, an exchange of hearty greetings and a cake cutting ceremony made everyone feel multi million fold lucky to have been born into this divine family of the Confluence Age.
The days of the visit have passed in the blink of an eye, and the time for saying “good-bye” has come. We are grateful to our dearest BapDada, this unique Drama, and our dear respected double doctor Shyam and brother Bibhuti for the unforgettable moments we have spent together. Go soon and come soon
