Hyderabad : President of India, Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates National Conference at Shanti Sarovar, on the occasion of its 21st Anniversary

Hon’ble President of India – Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates Brahma Kumaris National Conference at Shanti Sarovar on the occasion of 21st anniversary of Shanti Sarovar

Hyderabad, Telangana: The Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the National Conference on the theme “Timeless Wisdom of Bharat – Pathway to Peace & Progress” at the Global Peace Auditorium, Shanti Sarovar, Hyderabad. She attended the programme as Chief Guest. The conference was organized as part of the 21st Anniversary celebrations of Brahma Kumaris – Shanti Sarovar.

Addressing the gathering, the President highlighted the importance of India’s spiritual heritage in addressing contemporary challenges. She stated that true happiness and lasting peace cannot be achieved through material progress alone. Inner stability, emotional awareness, and value-based thinking are essential.

She said India’s ancient wisdom offers meaningful solutions to the mental, moral, and environmental issues faced by the world today. The harmonious integration of modernity and spirituality, she noted, is the greatest strength of Indian civilization.She appreciated the services of the Brahma Kumaris for bringing positive transformation through Meditation and Spirituality. She said that Brahma Kumaris have been working selflessly to bring a new world.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, said that India is not merely a geographical entity but an eternal civilization rooted in spiritual inquiry, ethical thought, and higher consciousness. He noted that India has consistently offered humanity the values of peace, compassion, self-restraint, harmony, and peaceful coexistence.

The programme was attended by Smt. Dansari Anasuya (Seethakka), Hon’ble Minister, Government of Telangana; Rajyogi BK Santosh Didi, Joint Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris and In-charge of Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh; and Rajyogi BK Mrutyunjaya, Additional Secretary General and Editor of Brahma Kumaris.

Rajyogini BK Kuldeep, Director of Brahma Kumaris, Hyderabad, extended a warm welcome to the Hon’ble President and all dignitaries.

On this occasion, the Brahma Kumaris launched several major service initiatives benefiting lakhs of people across Telangana. These include:
• “Sangam” for senior citizens, with the vision “Age with Pride, Live with Dignity.”
• Values-based training programmes for school teachers.
• Digital Wellness initiatives for youth and corporate professionals, aimed at reducing digital addiction and excessive technology dependence.

The programme began and concluded with the National Anthem, reflecting the spirit of unity and national pride.
