Russia: Two Significant programmes by LYRA by Sis. Olga Smirnova and her colleagues in Tver and MoscowTver, RussiaLyra Music and Poetry Club of the BK Center for Spiritual Development held a program at Municipal Secondary School No.15 in Tver, dedicated to the life and work ofSir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle, British writer and physician.
His life could serve as an example of an adventure novel: a doctor, a sailor, and a writer. In addition to his well-known Sherlock Holmes stories, which made him famous around the world, he was also the author of several remarkable historical novels, including “The White Company,” which is considered by some to be even more remarkable than Walter Scott’s “Ivanhoe.”
All of his works focus on the individual and their noble qualities, which help them overcome evil.
After the deaths of his son, brother, and two nephews during World War I, Arthur Conan Doyle became deeply interested in spiritualism and wrote several books on the subject.
He claimed that the non-material world is much more real than the material world, and that there is no death, just a transition to another substance.
The program was attended by students from grades 9-10 and teachers, with a total of about 120 people.
The Lyra team is expected to return to Tver in the summer with new programs. At the end of the program, the school’s principal, Svetlana Gennadievna Vasilyeva, presented a certificate of appreciation to Olga Smirnova, the organizer of the program.

The Musical and Poetic Club “Lyra” of the Center for Spiritual Development presented the program dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, titled “In the Blindage” in the Central Officers’ Club of the Aerospace Forces.
The program covered the history of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus.
The peoples of the two countries are Slavs, they speak similar languages that belong to the Indo-European language group. They have understood and helped each other since ancient times. Both nations have faced the terrible test of the Second World War. The heroic defense of the Brest Fortress, which serves as an example of courage and resilience, continues to inspire young modern people. In the present day, the cooperation between the two countries grows stronger.
People are not divided by borders; they are divided by bad and corrupt thoughts. All people, all souls on the Planet, have one Father, The Supreme Soul, and they are all brothers to each other, members of a large World Family.
The program was attended by military personnel of the Moscow District of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Olga Gladkova (Vocal ensemble “Overture” of the Pobeda Recreation Center) participated in the program and BK Zhanna Yakovenko, Singer, sung heart touching songs while BK Olga Smirnova conducted the program of friendship between the neighbouring countries
