Margao,Goa: The International Women’s Day, a function was organised on 8th March at the Mahashivratri celebrations organised by Brahma Kumaris at Margao. Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, Superintendent of Police, South Goa, Sunita Sawant, and social worker Usha Sardesai were present. Sardesai in his address advocated a goal-oriented approach towards life which he said was an important aspect of spirituality. He said that purity in heart and mind was more important than outward display of being religious. He further said that Goa which is known for its peace and communal harmony should become a sample for the rest of the country, and for which Rajyoga meditation as taught by the Brahma Kumaris has to play an enabling role.
Sawant stressed on the need for adopting spirituality in our lives a priority and not just one of the many options to be considered at one’s leisure.
Dr Sachin Parab, a medical practitioner from Mumbai, and a motivational speaker, spoke on Self Healing Techniques.
B K Shobha bahenji, in charge, Brahma Kumaris Goa, conducted a guided commentary on Rajyoga meditation.
