Kolkata WB: For the new curriculum under the National Education Policy, a three-day program was organized by JD Birla Institute for its students in the Science and Commerce streams to introduce ethics and culture into the syllabus. A total of eight sessions were conducted, including meditation.
The topics included:
- Mindfulness and kindness
- Work-life balance
- Values such as self-discipline, commitment, integrity, and creativity
- Discovering vocation and interest
BK Monish Behen, along with Sister Sunita, BK Neha, BK Bornali, and BK Asha Behen, conducted these sessions. Seventy students from the Science stream and 120 students from the Commerce stream, along with faculty members, attended each batch of classes.
The sessions were delivered in the form of PPT presentations, exercises, and activities. The students interacted and participated actively in all the sessions. The Dean, students, and faculty appreciated the sessions and expressed interest in continuing such sessions in the future for the self-enhancement and well-being of the students.
