Botswana,Southern Africa: The State Visit of the Hon. President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to Botswana from 11th to 13th November marked a historic moment for the Indian diaspora and communities in the country. The Brahma Kumaris had the honour of meeting the President on two significant occasions thanks to the Invitation by the Indian High Commissioner to Botswana Shri Bharath Kumar Kuthati:
- Welcome Ceremony at the Parliament of Botswana
- Address to the Indian Diaspora at a Community Reception in Gaborone (Capital of Botswana)
Highlights of the Visit
1. Parliament Welcome – Wed 12th November
A distinguished Brahma Kumaris delegation was present at the official state welcome at the Botswana Parliament.

The President warmly greeted the delegation, acknowledging them in person.

2. Grand Palm Hotel – Interaction with the Indian Diaspora at the Community Reception –Thu 13th November
The High Commission of India invited a special Brahma Kumaris delegation to attend the President’s address to the Indian diaspora.

President Murmu delivered a powerful address in Hindi, offering profound spiritual sustenance and encouragement to the community. Her tone was nurturing—like a mother guiding her children—emphasising values, unity, and inner strength.

3. Brahma Kumaris Activities (11th–16th November)
Alongside the President’s visit and departure, the BK centres continued the momentum through:
Daily spiritual classes by Sister Pratibha, Sister Urvashi and Sister Dipti
Meditation gatherings
Meetings with contacts and well-wishers

Sister Pratibha got interviewed by the local Newspaper reporter- ‘Midweek Sun’ that was arranged by Brother Oteng
