Namsai: Inauguration of Harmony House-Brahma Kumaris Centre by Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein at Namsai.

Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh : The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, inaugurated the newly constructed Harmony House at Namsai on April 22, 2026.

The programme commenced with the unfurling of the flag, followed by a serene candle lighting and cake cutting ceremony, symbolizing peace and unity. The Deputy Chief Minister formally handed over the facility to the Brahma Kumaris and assured full support for its development and expansion.

In his address, Shri Chowna Mein appreciated the Brahma Kumaris for their dedicated service in promoting peace, moral values, women empowerment, and especially their efforts in de-addiction programmes. He highlighted substance abuse as a serious concern in the present scenario across Arunachal Pradesh and expressed that, despite many efforts, the expected outcomes have yet to be achieved. He expressed confidence that the Brahma Kumaris would contribute significantly in addressing this issue through initiatives such as the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

He further urged the organization to take responsibility for running a proposed government-supported de-addiction centre. Assuring continued support, he announced his willingness to donate additional land for the construction of a larger meditation centre and for the upgradation of Harmony House in the larger interest of the people of Namsai. He also encouraged the preparation of a structured scheme to upgrade the existing BK Pathshala with residential facilities.

Sharing his recent visit to the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters, Mount Abu, he appreciated the efficient management and was particularly impressed by the large-scale kitchen operations serving thousands with ease.

Rajyogi BK Suraj from Mount Abu, Rajasthan, shared his first experience visiting Arunachal Pradesh and appreciated the simplicity and humility of the people. He expressed confidence that Harmony House would radiate harmony and positivity and encouraged people to adopt Rajyoga meditation for a stress-free and holistic lifestyle. He emphasized that meditation has helped many overcome addiction and urged all to incorporate spirituality into their daily lives. He also invited the Deputy Chief Minister to visit the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in Mount Abu.

BK Rajyogini Rajini Didiji, Director of Brahma Kumaris, Tinsukia Sub-zone, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister for his generous contribution and humility. 

BK Rajyogini Geeta from Mount Abu, highlighted the significance of spirituality and meditation in fostering peace, love, and universal brotherhood.

The programme witnessed the gracious presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including:

All dignitaries were felicitated with mementos, Godly gifts, and sweets. 

The programme also featured vibrant cultural dances, showcasing the rich traditions of various tribes and communities of the region.  

 The event has witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of around 600 people. The programme was also attended by Brahma Kumaris brothers and sisters from across the Northeast region.

The inauguration of Harmony House marks a significant milestone in promoting spiritual awareness and social upliftment in the region.
