Bangalore,Karnataka: Brahmakumaris Jakkur Retreat Center – Bangalore SEVA Wonderful and exciting news about the recent event organized by Brahma Kumaris Jakkur Retreat Center in Bangalore on June 3rd. The event, titled “Unplug and Recharge – Focusing on Digital Wellbeing,” was a tremendous success. Led by Br.B.K.Bala Kishore bhai ji, a revered child of Baba and an IT Core team member in the yagya, these sessions are aimed to teach the art of Digital detox and help participants reconnect with the present moment while enhancing their mental and emotional wellbeing. We were delighted to have nearly 100 participants who showed great interest and made a commitment to embark on their digital detoxification journey, promising to reduce their Digital Calories on a daily basis. The sessions emphasized the importance of discovering offline connections and finding inspiration for a balanced digital lifestyle.
The event received an overwhelming response, with proposals pouring in from various institutions, including Cambridge, Jindal offices, and several IT companies, requesting similar sessions. It’s truly inspiring to witness the growing awareness of the detrimental effects of digital addiction on physical health, mental well-being, and relationships among professionals. During the sessions, participants gained valuable insights into the gradual impact of excessive digital gadget usage and how it takes a toll on their overall well-being. They were also introduced to the power of Rajayoga meditation, which plays a significant role in overcoming this addiction by cultivating a habit of thinking less, thinking better, and thinking slow. The serene spiritual environment of Jakkur Retreat Center – Shiva Sundara Pavitra Vana provided the perfect setting for the event, and participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The day concluded with a delightful BrahmaBhojan (dinner) and overwhelmingly positive feedback, leaving everyone contented and inspired. The participants expressed their desire for more such programs in the future, and we are thrilled to witness such enthusiasm. We are grateful for the opportunity to facilitate these important discussions on digital well-being.
Brahma Kumaris – IT SEVA for BKs in IT professionals – Topic : Soul Consiousness Brahma Kumaris Jakkur Retreat Center in Bangalore organized on June 4 th a session on Soul Consciousness for all BKs, including youth bks and BK IT professionals. The session focused entirely on understanding the true essence of Soul Consciousness and how it influences our actions and beliefs. The session highlighted how embracing Soul Consciousness alone can make us and the world a better place. It emphasized that the root cause of problems in the world lies in body consciousness. Insights were shared on how changing our perspective can lead to a shift in the way things are perceived, without altering reality itself. A deeper understanding was provided on concepts such as Smriti (Awareness), Vritti (Attitude), Drishti (vision), Kriti (actions), and Srishti (creation). These aspects are interconnected, and when we have awareness of our true selves, our attitude and vision change, ultimately transforming our actions and the world around us.
All BKs were overwhelmed by the realization that being in Soul Consciousness makes them feel unique, equal, valuable, and empowered. They recognized themselves as masters, creators, light, connected beings, capable individuals, and eternal souls. This realization helped them overcome comparison, jealousy, and limitations. The BKs appreciated the beautiful knowledge imparted by Baba on Soul Consciousness, which taught them to transform themselves by focusing on their strengths and reminding them that they are unique and beautiful stars. Around 100 BKs attended this session and felt delighted. The session lasted for 4 hours with a 25-minute break, leaving everyone feeling recharged, happy, and content. The event concluded with a delicious Brahma Bhojan (Lunch) arranged on the beautiful lawn, allowing everyone to thoroughly enjoy a perfect Sunday.
