Nurpur Bedi: Brahma Kumaris celebrated Shivratri

Nurpur Bedi,Punjab :  A grand procession was organised with live tableaux of Lord Shiva, Shri Lakshmi Narayan etc. in which the band was in the lead, then two kumaris carrying the flag of Lord Shiva, then 21 Kalashdhari sisters, then mothers and Brahma kumar brothers were walking in a queue in the remembrances of Lord Shiva, spreading the rays of peace and love in the world. The procession started from Rajyog Bhawan, which passed through the main markets and lanes of Nurpur Bedi and concluded again at Rajyog Bhawan. The procession was welcomed at various places by many religious, social organizations and eminent personalities of the city with water, flowers and fruits. Brahma Kumari sisters presented divine gifts, prasad and literature to the welcomers.

Thereafter, Brahma Kumari Premlata, Incharge of Rajyoga centers of Brahma Kumaris in Mohali Ropar Circle, hoisted the Shiv flag at Rajyoga Bhawan Friends Colony and made everyone take a pledge to keep doing selfless service to make the world a better place with their body, mind and wealth. On this occasion, Brahma Kumari Dr. Rama from Mohali, Brahma Kumari Poonam from Nurpur Bedi, Brahma Kumari Anju from Ropar, Brahma Kumari Swaraj from Kurali, Brahma Kumari Bhavana and Namrata from Kharar and many other Rajyoga teachers were also present.

On this occasion, a grand ceremony was also organized which was inaugurated by Honorable
Swami Amolka Nand Ji Maharaj, Brahma Kumari Dr. Rama, Brahma Kumari Anju, Brahma Kumari
Poonam, Brahma Kumari Namrata, Brahma Kumari Rekha sister etc. by lighting the lamp.

Presiding over the programme, Dr. Rama Behan Ji, Co Incharge of Brahma Kumaris Mohali-Ropar Circle, said that Parmatma Shiv, who is worshipped as Jyoti in all religions, is also known by the names Amarnath, Somnath, Rameshwaram, Gopeshwar, Papakateshwar, Pashupatinath, Bholanath, Trimurti, Liberator, Guide, Ek Onkar, Makkeshwar etc. She further said that today people have turned away from true religion and karma, due to which violence, tension, mine-yours, murders and civil wars etc. are increasing. This is the time of irreligiousness when even the relationship between father and daughter is
no longer sacred, there is no difference between widow and married woman, sin and looting is happening in broad daylight, at this time of religious degradation, Parmatma Shiv has incarnated incorporeal body of Brahma to impart knowledge. With the teachings of Shivratri, unity, peace, goodwill and universal brotherhood can be strengthened in the world. While speaking as Chief Guest Swami Amolka Nand Ji Maharaj said that I feel divine and supernatural coming here. You all are great souls, these ascetic sisters who are engaged in serving the society free of cost, we should come and learn Gyan Yoga from them. The greatest power is that incorporeal, eternal Supreme Light Shiva. He further said that only the person who gives importance to time gets success.

On this occasion, Brahma kumari Anju from Ropar Rajyoga Center, expressed her views as keynote speaker and clarified the spiritual secrets of the beliefs related to this festival such offeringing Belpatra, Ber, Ak, Dhatura, water, fasting, Jagratas etc. on Shivling. She said that on this festival we should take a pledge to give up the bitterness, jealousy, hatred, enmity and feelings of revenge within us.
